Our Story

For over seven decades, Acme Bank Services has been a cornerstone of the New York City financial community. What began as a small neighborhood bank in Manhattan has grown into one of the region's most trusted financial institutions.

Founded in 1952 by Marcus J. Thornton, Acme Bank was built on a simple principle: banking should serve the people, not the other way around. This philosophy has guided every decision we've made, from opening our first branch on Wall Street to becoming a leader in digital banking innovation.

Today, we serve over 500,000 customers across the tri-state area with more than 45 branches, managing over $50 billion in assets. But despite our growth, we've never lost sight of our founding mission: to be the bank that truly puts customers first.
